The ALIENS Board Game

After months of repeated screenings of the movie and countless nights of faces pasted onto the TV screen, we tracked down what we believe to be the last of the scarce Wierz-sightings. But rather than rest on either our laurels or our hardys, we decided to take Wierzbowski Hunting to a new level.

Witness... the Aliens Board Game by Leading Edge. A board game so riveting, so engrossing that it captures the spirit of its pulse-pounding source movie more than even the "Escape From New York" board game captured its own. The whole Marine contingent is represented in the game, and the horrible proliferation of acid-spraying aliens makes you tremble twice as much as the movie did.

And yes, you can control Wierzbowski.

Shown above is Wierzbowski's character card which not only proves that he exists, but also finally pays the man some proper respect. In the game, Wierzbowski's one bad mother with his flame unit, and he's the only Marine to have a playing piece with his name hyphenated into two separate lines.

Unfortunately, this game has been out of print for some time now. We were extremely lucky to obtain a copy of it from our saviour Brandon Freels out in California, and for that we are endlessly grateful. Thanks again, Brandon! You've managed to help us waste even more ludicrous amounts of our time.
